The Cannondale is lubed and tuned to perfection; raring to go up (and down) what ever dusty trail comes along in the Denver metro area. Riding is still a bit more precarious in the mountains due to the amazing amounts of snow pack still on the ground at the start of summer.
I am look forward to opening Old Fall River road in the Rocky Mountain National Park. A tradition every 4th of July, this dirt trail was the first road to cross the Rocky Mountains in northern Colorado.
This little fellow, a Yellow-bellied Marmot (Marmota flaviventris) can be found along the trail, generally above the tree line (11,500 ft).
