The Cannondale is lubed and tuned to perfection; raring to go up (and down) what ever dusty trail comes along in Denver. The Bear Creek Greenbelt, south & west of the metro area, remains lush despite one of the lowest annual rainfalls in recent memory. Easy rides on the horse trails afford family fun for all ages.
Christening Old Fall River road in the Rocky Mountain National Park proved an annual delight as conditions are much improved over previous years’ due to maintenance by park contractors. The reward for a 12 mile trek up the trail, a picnic lunch at the Alpine Center… and one wild ride back down!
This little fellow, a Yellow–bellied Marmot (Marmota flaviventris) can be found along the trail, generally above the tree line (11,500 ft).
